There is a delightful swimming pool. The friendly, hospitable owners have 250 hectares of land. They produce organic wine, olive oil and honey. The farm complex organises evenings with Tuscan specialities or pizzas a number of times a week. Historic Volterra and San Gimignano with its amazing towers are well worth a visit. The famous cities of Florence, Siena and Lucca are only an hours drive away.

Podere La Casina situated in the hills of the superb Chianti area between olive- and wine orchards and many century old villages. The 6 apartments are part of an old restored farm house which has been transformed in to an holiday destination. The owners of the farmhouse complex do not live in the grounds but they are often around. The farm produces sunflower oil, olive oil, wine, vinegar, grappa and limoncello. The location of the farm house makes it possible to undertake many nice day trips to this with a lot of history surrounded area and cities such as Firenze, Pisa, Lucca and Pisoia. A trip to the sea is also among the possibilities which lies at approx. 50 km. distance. There is a communal swimming pool on the parcel in where it is lovely to lounge about while your children frolic about in the garden. There is also a barbeque available in the communal garden and garden furniture. The large, round swimming pool has a diameter of 10 metres.

The city looks out on the Valdichiana Valley and enjoys wonderful vistas. You can see Lake Trasimee in Umbria from the higher parts. In the Middle Ages, Cortona was a powerful city in the region. This is apparent in the many historic buildings and monuments. The old city wall is very impressive with its fortified towers and gates. The thirteenth century Musea dellAcademia Etrusca is in the Palazzo Pretorio. This holds a large collection of artefacts and treasures from Etruscan and Roman times. The holiday house is an 18th-century stone building (105 m2) and nestled on a hill, with three floors on one side and two on the other; therefore at the ground floor there is another room (with independent entrance) which is used for a laundry (with washingmachine etc.). The holiday house is fully furnished with all new or antique pieces (Tuscan pieces from the 18th and 19th centuries). From the patio, you can go to the private garden (approximately 100 square meters), where there are a table, chairs, sun-umbrella, and BBQ.
These holiday house is situated in a small mountain village called Pascoso (county of Pescaglia,province of Lucca, Tuscany, Italy), in the Apuane Park, 700m above sea level. Pascoso has just 100 inhabitants (and 2 restaurants and 1 general store), and is so small with such narrow stone roads that cars enter town along a short strip in the main road only. Nearly all the houses in the town are built in stone, including their rooftops, and the smooth stones in the streets were laid hundreds of year ago. Pascoso is a hiker\'s paradise; however it is not far from the \"cities of arts\" of Tuscany: Lucca, Pisa, Florence and Siena are 30, 48, 96 and 144 km far; moreover Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi, among the most famous Italian beaches, are 48 km far (including 24 on the highway). |  | | Click photos for details |  |
