Deliciously settle down between very friendly people and many animal species and enjoy the overwhelming views. The estate, bordering at a country road, has besides the main building in where the restaurants lies, three more buildings in where a total of 9 apartments have been accommodated. This house is situated on the ground floor of a beautiful restored farm house with a total of 3 apartments. We have also reserved another 4-pers. house for you in another building (IT-06062-04). The estate offers many possibilities for recreation and activities. As a result of which, you can deliciously lounge about at the spacious shared swimming pool while your children frolic around in the playground or take horseback riding lessons in the riding school. The environment is excellent to travel with the mountain bike or undertake nice hiking- and rambling trips. Città di Castello is a charming place on the river the Tiber with a medieval radiation. Remarkable is how the old and the new città is divided by the partially 14th century city wall. As a matter of fact it is also the place of birth of the famous painter Perugino. On a hill top at the edge of the forest lies this former Benedictine abbey from the year 1100, 8 km. south of Città di Castello and also Gubbio to be seen from the hill. One has tried to maintain the original state as much as possible, which is the case with the ceilings, floors and several doors. On the ground floor there is a nice reception/bar with colour TV and telephone and reading corner. Furthermore there is a arch room in where, at sufficient demand, the local products can be tasted. Next door lies the former and historical church. The apartments are all of a good standard. In the beautiful communal garden stands garden furniture. The houses are around 600 metres from one another. The apartments have been carefully renovated. They are tastefully and simply furnished. The friendly owners are happy to give you information about the area, its art and traditions. The farmhouse complex produces extra virgin olive oil, wines, pasta and more. You can often enjoy tasting sessions. All products are for sale. The La Macina apartment, IT-06059-02, is in a house of seven apartments with a swimming pool and Jacuzzi. There is a shared garden. The Erbaio apartment, IT-06059-01, is in the other house which has two apartments. It is a little further away from the swimming pool. The area abounds with green hills, delightful villages and ancient castles. It is full of surprises and is well worth visiting. In total, there are two buildings on the estate that house ten apartments. We have reserved 3 for you, namely (IT-06060-24;IT-06060-25 en IT-06060-26). This simply furnished home, Bertuccia, is on the first floor and disposes of a private terrace (ca. 30m2).
This roof terrace offers a truly spectacular panorama over both provinces and is perfect for watching the sunset while enjoying a good glass of wine. Thanks to its central location, it offers a great base for exploring this wonderful region. Places such as Perugia (45km.), Arezzo (50km.), Siena (60km.), Montpulciano (12km.) are within easy reach. Also, Lake Trasimeno is a mere 8 km away. But, of course, you can also stay on the estate and relax at the pool while your children have fun with one of the many playing facilities. The property features its own private patio and is tastefully furnished, offering guests the maximum level of comfort.
This holiday home was a working farm up until the XVII century. It has now been lovingly restored using only the highest quality materials and furnishings and in full respect of the original style.
The cottage is in a prime location for exploring either Umbria or Tuscany.
