Ideal for exploring the Perigord vert. Perigord Blanc and the Corréze. Historic Chateaux nearby (Hautefort and Excideuil) Excellent walking, hiking and cycling. Very peaceful. Near tot the Valley of the Auvezere and the Dordogne Valley. Sarlat and Périgeux accessible. Rural but main routes nearby. Ideal for exploring the area. The Saddlery is a charming stone cottage (90m2)situated alongside a moat, with breathtaking views, and set within the grounds of a manor hous, and backing onto a wood.There is an area immediately outside the cottage for sunbathing and bar-b-queing which overlooks the moat and the grounds of the manor house as well as the beautiful Dordogne countryside. There are very quiet roads and even quieter woodland to walk and cycle, and an important and beautiful archeological site in the village along the river Auvezere, where you can swim, canoe, or admire the horseshoe falls at La Forge du Savignac.Be aware, the swimming pool is not built in and not suitable for long distance swimming. |  | | Click photos for details |  |

Carlux lies 69 km. north-east of Fumel. This marvellous, very well kept small scale park of 1,5 ha. wide is quietly situated in between two forests, 800 m. outside the village centre. In the surroundings of Carlux you can take a nice swim and practice different water sports in the river Dordogne at 2 km. distance. Besides that the area Dordogne is a marvellous environment for many activities for children as well as adults, therefore you can visit the caves of Lascaux, Gouffre de Padirac, Rocamadour and Souillac. The gîtes are terraced by three or four together but with each gîte you have enough privacy. The gîtes FR-24370-02, FR-24370-03 and FR-24370-04 are also appealing for together travelling families considering that the gîtes are situated close to one another. The interior of the gîtes is spacious and comfortable and well maintained by the English managing married couple. The area has a shared swimming pool (12 m. x 6 m.) with sun terrace, table tennis table, childrens playing area, jeu-de-boule track and a badminton court. La Truffière is a charming chalet (total area + annexe 100 m2), ideally situated in the heart of the Black Périgord. In the heart of the countryside, in a hectare of wooded grounds and with no neighbours, this magnificent chalet provides an idyllic setting for the whole family to relax in.
The whole property is for your private use.
2 km from the river Dordogne, this chalet is at the centre of the regions tourist and cultural activity: canoeing on the Dordogne (4 km away), quad-biking in the woods, two golf courses less than 5 km away, the chateaux of the Dordogne and Vézère valleys, caves and prehistoric sites, Medieval villages and Périgords fine food.
Just a few kilometres from the chalet you will find a number of farms/inns in which you can try out their foie gras, candied products, fillet of duck and Monbazillac wine, etc.
The owner pays for 10 kW of electricity per day. If consumption exceeds this amount, payment is the customer\'s responsibility.

An old but entirely renewed barn in the caracteristic Périgord-noir style, at a 15 ha green property on the edge of a brooklet.
Three nice holidayhouses have been constructed of which
2 detached and 1 individual.
The houses have charm and share a nice, fenced pool(10 x 5).
Several sportif possibilities available:
(tabletennis, tablefoothball, volleyball, foothball);
possibilities to take classes in bow- and arrow shooting and horsebackriding (horses of the owners), ask the owners for it.
Plenty of walking- and mountainbiketrails available
(free use of mtb\'s).
And if you feel like making a trip, the Périgord-noir area has a lot to offer too, like the castles, the citadels, the prehistorical spots, mediaeval villages...
