Character barn conversion with open roof beams, part exposed stonework. Spacious (approx 11m x 5m) first floor open plan living room/kitchen; bedrooms and bathroom on ground floor. Shower-room with second toilet. South facing patio. Personally supervised by the owners. Views from the Crag, a small rocky outcrop from which it takes its name, can be stunning - especially sunsets. Surrounding land is frequented by badgers, deer, foxes; variety of birdlife.

| OLD POTTERY COTTAGE, Torver Sleeping up to 7 people
These recently renovated, cottages are converted from a traditional ‘Bank Barn’ adjoining the owners’ property. They are situated at the end of a 200m driveway surrounded by wildlife, including red squirrels and buzzards. They have fantastic views towards the Fells and Grizedale Forest from the enclosed shared garden.
The village of Torver, with its two pet friendly pubs serving food, is 500m away. Coniston, with its shops, cafes and restaurants is 2 miles.
There are many walks from the cottage including Coniston Old Man and across Torver Common to Coniston Water, famous for “Bluebirds” record breaking and Ransom’s <i>Swallows and Amazons</I>. The South Lakes area has many attractions including Ambleside, Grasmere and Windermere and the quieter peninsula with its sandy beaches.

Our 17th century cottages and apartments lie in an unrivalled location on a working duck/cattle farm, by a stream with ducks. The perfect place to relax and unwind with family and friends. A gentle stroll beside the river takes you to the village inn where good food is served everyday.
This is the ideal base to explore the Lake District with the three hightest mountain peaks in England, Scafell, Skiddaw and Helvellyn, within easy reach. The area boasts many activities available throughout the year including walking, climbing, mountain biking, golf, sailing or fishing. Why not take a trip on the Keswick Launch or stroll around the many parks and gardens.

Longhouse. We have carefully restored it to retain original features such as the huge fireplace in the lounge, the oak shutters and beams and even the original stone pantry. The accommodation is very spacious and
well equipped, with luxury kitchen and bathroom fittings, including 2 corner baths. Larger parties can be catered for by combining with The Dairy, across the courtyard.
The location is perfect for a relaxing break or for visiting the many attractions in the area. Gentle walks or cycling are available from the doorstep, as well as more strenuous hikes in the Pennines, the Lakes or
the Yorkshire Dales. The local pub is within a minutes walk and serves good food too!

a small working farm in north Cumbria between Carlisle and Gretna Green with a selection of carefully designed quality accommodation all with views, either over woodland, the garden, fields or hills.<p>
MEADOW View is a large four-bedroom bungalow sleeping eight. with double, single, triple and twin rooms.
Then there is BURN COTTAGE this is a barn conversion with a family bedroom on the first floor and an en-suite twin bedroom on the ground floor.
ALD PALLYARDS, is all on the ground floor with ramped access complete with two bedrooms. One en-suite twin and the other having a four-poster bed with an additional bed if needed.
All cottages have central heating and are Tourist Board Inspected to 3-4 star and have a large garden area. Meals are available in our main dining room and we hold a residential licence. A half board package is also available on request.

From Swallows Nest there are wonderful views over the quiet picturesque Lickle Valley and many pleasant walks. Just a 20 minute stroll is the renowned Blacksmiths Arms serving good food and real ale. Three miles away in the historic market town of Broughton-in-Furness with pubs, cafes shops and a restaurant.
