The village is midway between Kendal (south) and Penrith (north) and only 5 miles from the M6 motorway. An ideal base for touring both the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. A few minutes walk away is the lake with boats for hire, the Launch and the steam powered Gondola offer trips on the lake. For walkers Coniston Old Man, Tarn Hows, Grizedale forest and the fells are easily accessible from the village.
<b>Coniston, located in the heart of the Lake District National Park</b>, is an ideal centre for walking, sailing and other outdoor pursuits. Many places of interest are to be found nearby including historic houses and sites, museums, and lovely towns and villages.<p>

A 3-bedroom end terrace town cottage with ample opportunities to explore Cumbria and beyond. There is a good range of local shops and good rail and bus services.
Four miles outside the Lake District National Park, the nearest town is Cockermouth and Keswick is 30 minutes drive.
Car parking is on the road at the front of the property. There is off-road parking for motorcycles with overhead cover under the archway. The cottage has one double, one twin and one single bedroom, a bathroom with bath/shower, wc and basin. The lounge has a TV, a video and Hi-Fi system. There is a fully-fitted and equipped kitchen. All bed linen, duvets and towels are included.
No smoking and no dogs.

Converted to a good standard from the former hay barn and standing alongside the owners' home within twelve acres of woodland and farmland which is bordered by Scale Beck.
Retaining much of its original character, the cottages, have been well-equipped and tastefully furnished to provide charming and cosy accommodation. WITSEND - 1 6ft 4 poster double bed (sofa bed to sleep further 2 guests). FOLLY - 1 double, 1 single, bunks (suitable for children over 6 only). RUM'UN - 1 double, 1 twin.
