3 Cottages - Moorfield was built in 1861 by a local family who made their fortune from the many cotton mills in the surrounding area. Nestling amongst the foothills of Kinder Scout the estate’s location is excellent for fell-walking and site-seeing alike.
With the departure of its original residents Moorfield was divided into a number of individual properties including Moorfield Lodge, the Old Billiard Room and the Garden Flat. Guests are welcome to use the 5 acre grounds of Moorfield House during their stay.
Comfortably sleeping 4 to 6, Moorfield Lodge provides an excellent centre for a family holiday in Derbyshire.
Sleeping 2, with space for a third if required the Old Billiard Room is an excellent base for a couple or small family seeking a self-catering holiday in the Peak District.

Converted from the old rectory coach house, Mews cottage is set in a lovely walled garden in the village of Tansley.
This is a pleasant village with a general store and post office and three good pubs which serve food. Nearby Matlock provides a variety of shops including a supermarket, many cafes and restaurants, a swimming pool and a pleasant park. The resort of Matlock Bath is 3 miles from the cottage.

This 350 year old cottage - once the home of the local blacksmith and his family - is located in a quiet (access only) street close to the main market square in Buxton, a spa town and a market town in the centre of the Derbyshire Peak District. Ideal for walkers it is surrounded by peaks and dales, moors and beautiful rambling countryside.
The cottage retains a lot of its old period charm, with features such as thick limestone walls with deep recessed windows and large oak beam fireplace with cast iron open hearth fire, but is equipped with all the comforts of modern living including gas central heating and modern kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, washer and fridge freezer. | THIMBLE COTTAGE, Litton, nr Bakewell, Peak District National Park Sleeping up to 3 people
This well-equipped cosy cottage is in a peaceful and relaxing setting on the attractive village green in the small, attractive village of Litton, situated in the Peak District National Park, 4 miles North West of Bakewell. It is just a one minute walk from the Red Lion pub and the village shop is opposite, with further shops and amenities available in nearby Tideswell. There are good walks from the front door, including Monsal Dale and Litton Dale.
The cottage has been recently refurbished to a very high standard, including full gas central heating by radiators, plus a gas fire in the sitting room. The sitting / dining room has dining table, carpet, comfortable suite, colour TV, DVD player, Video player, Video & DVD library and CD Player/Radio, while the well-equipped oak kitchen includes slate floor, fridge, washing machine, microwave and electric cooker. One step up from the kitchen is the new bathroom with bath, WC and hand basin on ground floor. Upstairs there are original wooden floorboards to two bedrooms - one double (travel cot if needed) and a single with 3ft bed. All costs of heating and electricity are included in the price, as well as all bed linen and towels.

Swallow Cottage is a gritstone cottage built in the 1800s. It has been modernised but still retains its charm, character and some original features such as the beams and the cupboard built into the
wall. The cottage, which sleeps three, has outstanding views in the White Peak walking way of the Derbyshire National Park.
Located in the small quiet unspoilt gritstone and limestone conservation village of Elton near Bakewell, it is an ideal centre for walks on the doorstep and visiting many of the attractions of the Peak District, Derbyshire Dales and beyond. Whether you come for walking, cycling, touring or just relaxing in the cottage and garden you won't be disappointed. There is much to enjoy in the varied and beautiful scenery of this lovely part of England.

Our cottages are just off the Market Place in a secluded area but within easy reach of all the amenities.
The area is ideal for walking, and short drives will take you into areas of varied and spectacular scenery. You can easily reach Dovedale and the Goyt valley with their gorges and rushing streams, and can walk around the lakes and through the forests in the Derwent valley where The Dambusters practiced. Within a few miles of Pickford Place, there are opportunities for pony trekking,
The picturesque town of Castleton with its quaint little shops selling the unique Blue John stone is within four miles. There you can visit the famous caves, see where Blue John is found, and ride through tunnels on boats.
