Collacott is set in the heart of beautiful North Devon’s unspoilt countryside, near the pretty thatched village of Kings Nympton, voted "Village of the year 1999", by the "Campaign for the Preservation of Rural England". Nestling on a southerly slope, the cottages are set around a cobbled yard and pond. It is in easy reach of Exmoor with its wild ponies, deer and sheep, plus the rugged north coastline with its dramatic cliffs or the long sandy beaches of the west coast.
Our aim at Collacott is to provide a relaxed and informal atmosphere, whilst offering plenty to keep children and the more active holiday maker occupied. Collacott also provides a peaceful retreat for those who just want to rest and unwind. Set in 20 acres of unspoiled Devon countryside Collacott has been developed sympathetically to provide modern amenities in a traditional country setting.
We have tried to create a safe environment for all, especially children. The complex is set back from a quiet country lane, and is approached by a long drive. Cottages - We are organic dairy farmers on the South Devon coast and have four holiday cottages on the farm which are all within easy walking distance of the coastal path and a lovely beach. The vast empty wilderness of Dartmoor is also within sight and is a paradise for walkers, cyclists and horse riders.
Our cottages have rural views and secluded gardens, central heating and log fires. Kitchens are well equipped with all mod cons and we put some fresh organic milk in the fridge for your arrival. We even stock up the freezer with a supply of our organic Well Hung Meat Company meat - just help yourself and leave the money in the honesty box.
There are beautiful beaches nearby such as Mothecombe Beach which has over a hundred acres of sand at low tide. Dartmoor and the beaches are just as spectacular in winter, when they provide exhilarating moorland rides or dramatic coastal walks.
There are a number of good restaurants and traditional pubs nearby, particularly in the pretty village of Holbeton, or in Newton Ferrers and Noss Mayo which nestle either side of the Yealm estuary just over a mile away. Whatever the weather, there is always plenty to do.

| TORRIDGE, Great Torrington

Our two holiday cottages, Taw and Torridge, have been converted from the old shippon.
Taw is the smaller of the two looking onto the fields. It is very open plan, light and airy with a small south facing patio to sit and relax or just enjoy the view.
Torridge has a downstairs bedroom which is suitable for those with walking difficulties or those who use a wheelchair. It has an en-suite shower/wet room and a door out onto the south-facing patio. The lounge also has a ramp from the patio doors to the patio. The second bedroom also has an en-suite shower room.
Good food and arts centre (brochure available) within walking distance. Ideal for exploring the North Devon coast, Exmoor and Dartmoor, and ancient borough of Barnstaple Nearby are also excellent leisure facilities including Golf, Quadbikes, Paintball and Swimming and coarse and sea fishing.
Barn conversion comprising two
cottages, one with disabled access. Both have central heating, a well equipped kitchen, lounge with sofa bed and tastefully furnished throughout.

Situated only ten minutes' drive from Barnstaple and twenty minutes' drive from the coast, Lower Hearson Farm provides an ideal base from which to explore the many delights of North Devon, including Lynton & Lynmouth, Clovelly, Tarr Steps, the Tarka Trail, Rosemoor and Marwood Gardens, the Cobbaton Combat Collection and the nearest beaches of Saunton Sands and Croyde. There are many other attractions and things to do in the area.
Our five holiday cottages are surrounded by two acres of gardens, making this a very safe place for children. Guests share use of our 38’ x 16’ heated (from March to end of September), covered swimming pool, which has a depth of 3-5 feet. There is also a games room with table tennis, pool table, darts and football table. Garden furniture and barbecues are also provided.

Salcombe enjoys a mild climate and is renowned as a base for sailing, water sports and fishing - ferries to sandy beaches are two minutes walk away. Within walking distance is the exotic coastal garden and museum at Overbecks (NT) and extensive National Trust land, ideal for walks and bird watching.

Youngsters love collecting eggs, cycling the long drive, playing volleyball/badminton and exploring our 21 acres of wildlife-friendly farmland and SSSI nature reserve.
Borrow a ‘farm bike’ or hire mountain bikes. There’s a bike lock-up and shared laundry room. All our accommodation has 100% renewable energy and recycling facilities. We offer free pick-up from nearby Eggesford Station
