The Hill Cottage is situated approximately 2 miles from the villages of both Crossgar and Killyleagh. It is in a peaceful and rural setting yet only a few miles from the picturesque Strangford Lough and all the many amenities Co Down has to offer.
The cottage was converted from an old stone farm building in 1990. It is tastefully furnished with all home comforts, including lots of books and some games. The back door opens on to a big farm yard (now only used for the owners horse). The front door opens onto a private south facing garden with a patio BBQ and garden furniture.
Enjoy the nearby beautiful Delamont Country Park on the shores of Strangford Lough. Walk in the Mourne Mountains, Tollymore and Castlewellan Forest Parks, visit various National Trust properties or picnic on the quiet sandy beaches near Newcastle (coastal resort). The area also contains a great number of archaeological sites including a megalithic hill fort at the top of Lurig mountain. This cottage is built on a working farm on the banks of the Ballindery River which is renowned as a wild fowl paradise and for its fishing. There are ducks, Cranes, Cuckoos and many other wild birds seen and heard in the beautiful rural area. There are lambs, Cows and calves, ponies and donkies also in the area. It is located along a three mile traffic free peaceful country walk in the spectacular and beautiful Sperrin Mountains. There is a garden with tables and chairs to relax in.
The cottage has four bedrooms Kitchen/Living Room and Conservatory which comfortably caters for 8 people and has a <b>5 Star rating from the N.I Tourist Board.</b>

Drim Cottage has five bedrooms, each room with a double
bed, three bedrooms upstairs, two of which are en-suite,
two bedrooms on the ground floor, bathroom, living room,
large kitchen and dining room, central heating (oil), all
linen and towels supplied. Malin Head is Irelands most
northerly point. Some activities nearby include hill
walking, scuba diving, surfing, golf, fishing, horse
riding, surfing, swimming and bird watching. Also a
famine
village which tells all about life in the 1840s and much
more. There are two ferries, one from Greencastle to
Magilligan for tourists to see the Giants Causeway and one
