country. The cottage is cosy with welcoming log fires
after a day out. There are modern facilities but the
cottage retains its traditional feel and has a large
attractive garden. The Eskdale Railway and Village Shop
are within 5 minutes walk and there are 4 pubs serving

A few minutes walk away is the lake with boats for hire, the Launch and the steam powered Gondola offer trips on the lake. For walkers Coniston Old Man, Tarn Hows, Grizedale forest and the fells are easily accessible from the village.

This spacious well equipped cottage is cosy, warm with exposed beams, located in a peaceful, picturesque cobbled area in the lovely village of Burton in Kendal just yards from shops, pubs and restaurants.
An excellent touring base for the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. Enjoy the lovely walks around Burton itself. You may see the Wild Deer! Nearby are the Canal, fishery, and a RSPB Reserve.

Our ground floor apartment is one of twelve in a converted 18th
century Georgian wool mill. The accommodation is situated directly in front of
Kendal Green which is one of the most delightful locations in
Kendal. The Green is huge and is surrounded by early Victorian
villas and houses. A beautiful location and a great base to explore
Kendal and the Lake District. You are within a five minute walk to
the town centre and all it's facilities.

Welcome to 'Harberry' close to Penrith and an ideal base to explore the Eden Valley, the Northern Lake District and Pennine Hills. Penrith is 12 miles and Alston, the highest market town in England is only 9 miles away. Long Meg and her Daughters, one of England's finest Stone Circles and Little Meg cairn circle is just down the road near Little Salkheld. The Village shop & pub are only 3 miles away. There are traditional English Maypoles at Temple Sowerby and the nearby village of Milburn. Hadrian's Wall and Carlisle are a short drive away. If you would like to do some shopping Newcastle and the Metro Centre are about one hours drive away.
Our ground floor, self catering studio apartment is comfortably furnished and well equipped, overlooking a quiet stream at the bottom of the garden with views across the open countryside. It is the perfect place to enjoy the sunshine, have an evening barbecue and just relax. Carmel, famous for its 12th Century Priory, is just 1 mile away, with pubs serving good food as well as the usual shops. A little further afield is Grange over Sands, with its promenade, and the historic market town of Kendal is only a short journey. Bigland Hall nearby, offers activities such as fishing and clay pigeon shooting, in addition there are two golf courses at Grange. One being a Fell course approximately 1.5 miles away and the other in Grange, which is 3 miles away.
The surrounding countryside provides an abundance of hikes for the more energetic visitor, and for those wishing for something a little more staid, there are dozens of sedate walks to choose from, choice is entirely up to you.
