The accommodation is well equipped (DVD player, video, stereo, CD ), with all rooms on the first floor.
A variety of attractions are within an easy drive, including The Lakes, the Yorkshire Dales and Hadrian's Wall. The surrounding Eden Valley also offers many varied activities and sights, such as the nearby market town of Appleby with its golf course and a swimming pool. Casterton Holiday Flats are two luxurious holiday flats situated above the privately owned golf clubhouse at Casterton, Nr Kirkby Lonsdale. They offer superb self catering accommodation for holidaying in and around the English Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales or North Lancashire.
Each flat comprises of a large lounge, complete with kitchen and dining area, one double bedroom and well appointed bathroom with both bath and shower. The lounge has a double sofa bed and one flat also has a single bed chair. There is a television and during opening hours access to a public telephone in the golf clubhouse. The well equipped kitchen area has a kettle, toaster, microwave, gas hob and fridge. The flats are furnished to a high standard with gas central heating and electricity included in the price. Towels and bedlinen are also provided.
The flats have panoramic views overlooking the historic market town of Kirkby Lonsdale and are within easy reach of the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and North Lancashire, Blackpool and Morecambe. A few minutes walk away is the lake with boats for hire, the Launch and the steam powered Gondola offer trips on the lake. For walkers Coniston Old Man, Tarn Hows, Grizedale forest and the fells are easily accessible from the village.

| THE OLD HAYLOFT, St Johns in the Vale Sleeping up to 4 people
This flat is set on a working farm where poultry and animals can be seen all around. There are also plenty of ducks that enjoy being fed! The farm house is beautifully situated, tucked under the fell with a beck in front of it. It has appeared as a typical Lakeland farm in various books.
Dippers often nest under the bridge over the beck and herons are to be seen in the valley. Kingfishers have recently returned. The owners have established a lot of new woodland, much of it is oak and beech as well as Christmas trees and beautiful larches.
The flat has been converted from the old hayloft. It is modern inside, double-glazed and cosy. The basic accommodation is for 4 people. There is ample car parking in the farm yard for two cars. The farm is located approximatly 6 miles (9.6 km) from Keswick where there are a good selection of shops, banks etc. The nearest Post Office is two miles (3.2 km) away. The bus stop is about a mile (1.6 km) down the public footpath. There is a regular bus service (the '555') that connects the north of the Lake District to the south.

It is at the heart of many excellent and picturesque walking locations. Wasdale Head, Ennerdale and smaller walks suitable for children are plentiful in nearby in Loweswater and nearby towns. Cockermouth is 5 miles away and Keswick 15 miles away. The coast, 15 miles away, is easily accessible along a picturesque route.

Situated in rural surroundings, on the edge of the village of Levens, Underhill is an attractive, well equipped, grade 2 listed barn conversion. It comprises a spacious living room of full height to the exposed roof beams, a small bathroom, kitchen and gallery bedroom with fine views across the picturesque Lyth Valley to the Lakeland fells.
Stone walls, oak beams, flagstone floors and a wood-burning stove provide lots of atmosphere and variable lighting, pictures and accessories make it a true home from home.
An ideal base for exploring the Lakes and Dales as all the main access routes intersect nearby.
Levens Hall, Sizergh castle, farm shop, village store, post office, three pubs with restaurants and a playing field with tennis courts are all nearby.

This cosy traditional two bedroom Lakeland cottage is beautifully situated in the Great Langdale valley where there are numerous walks to suit all abilities and ambitions. The views of Lingmoor Fell across the valley and the Langdale Pikes further up the valley are spectacular.<p>
The cottage is set well back from the valley road which is reassuring for families with young children. There is a large communal area of grass in front of the cottage. Off road parking area with one dedicated parking space is available.<p>
Lingmoor View is no more than a few minutes walk to the centre of Chapel Stile. Elterwater is a little further but still within easy walking distance. There are excellent pubs in Chapel Stile and Elterwater.<p>
Walks lead directly from the cottage onto the fells behind. Windermere, Coniston Water, Grasmere and Rydal Water are only a short drive from the cottage.
