There is a wide range of activities within the area for young and old, alternatively if you simply wish to have a relaxing break, Lindale provides a small village atmosphere with 2 local pubs, post office and a store nearby.
The town of Grange 2 miles away provides a range of unique shops. Other attractions include 3 golf courses, Cartmel racecourse 2 miles, Lake Windermere 3 miles and the Yorkshire Dales 10 miles away. Lindale is just 15 minutes from junction 36 on the M6. Grange railway station 1 mile.

3 Cottages - Centrally located and surrounded by beautiful scenery it makes an ideal place to relax, unwind and enjoy the numerous walks and wildlife in the immediate area. Converted to a good standard from the former hay barn and standing alongside the owners' home within twelve acres of woodland and farmland which is bordered by Scale Beck.
Retaining much of its original character, the cottages, have been well-equipped and tastefully furnished to provide charming and cosy accommodation. WITSEND - 1 6ft 4 poster double bed (sofa bed to sleep further 2 guests). FOLLY - 1 double, 1 single, bunks (suitable for children over 6 only). RUM'UN - 1 double, 1 twin.
An excellent location for exploring the Northern National Parks, they are central to the Lakes, the Dales, Northumberland and the Scottish border. The historic market town of Appleby with its excellent amenities is 4 miles . Penrith 16 miles, Ullswater 22 miles, shop 4 miles, pub 1 mile.

a small working farm in north Cumbria between Carlisle and Gretna Green with a selection of carefully designed quality accommodation all with views, either over woodland, the garden, fields or hills.<p>
MEADOW View is a large four-bedroom bungalow sleeping eight. with double, single, triple and twin rooms.
Then there is BURN COTTAGE this is a barn conversion with a family bedroom on the first floor and an en-suite twin bedroom on the ground floor.
ALD PALLYARDS, is all on the ground floor with ramped access complete with two bedrooms. One en-suite twin and the other having a four-poster bed with an additional bed if needed.
All cottages have central heating and are Tourist Board Inspected to 3-4 star and have a large garden area. Meals are available in our main dining room and we hold a residential licence. A half board package is also available on request.

The Moorings and Winander are ideally located at Waterhead Bay, Ambleside on the shores of lake Windermere in an attractive row of Victorian villas built of Lakeland stone in 1880.
The beaches, steamer pier and jetties of Lake Windermere are a 70 yard stroll across a pedestrian area.
The pubs, restaurants, cafes and shops of Waterhead are within a minutes walk.
Skeghyll Woods with its walks and bike trails, is just yards from the door.
Historic Ambleside with its galleries, shops, restaurants and museum is just a short walk away.
The spectacular mountain scenery of The Langdale Pikes can be seen from Waterhead Bay. The Langdale Valley is just a sort drive away.

As neither of us are Cumbrians, we have no hesitation in saying that you will be sure of an excellent welcome, wherever you go in Cumbria. | THE BYRE , Staveley

A 17th century Lakeland hill farm with magnificent views from the sea to the highest point in England. The farm is situated at the foot of the beautiful Kentmere valley between the county town of Kendal and Lake Windermere.
The four cottages are traditionally constructed in stone and slate, each with its own garden and private parking. Decor is traditional, with rustic beams, full carpeting and comfortable furniture each with central heating, either oil or fired or electric storage. The farm has its own private water supply which is fed from a spring up on the fell. The water is beautiful and is tested by the local authority.
The farm is 1 mile outside the village of Staveley with its shops, pubs, church, railway station and bus routes. Windermere the largest of the lakes and Kendal the county town are each only 5 miles away. The situation is ideal for walking, cycling, relaxing, or as a touring centre for the Lakes, Yorkshire Dales, and the Border country.
