Hills. Ideal for walkers and cyclists. Accommodation
comprises a double bed sitting room, kitchen, bathroom and
dining room. The property has been equipped to high
standards with polished wood floors throughout. Centrally
heated, TV, DVD, electric oven, gas hob, fridge/freezer
and microwave. Laundry facilities available in main
house. Enclosed garden with decking and furniture set in
two acres of woodland. Ample private parking. Pets

| CUDDY'S CROFT, Spylaw Cottages, Near Alnwick, Northumberland Sleeping up to 2 people
Standing in the heart of the Northumbrian countryside, between the Cheviot hills and the coast, Spylaw provides the best of all holiday worlds: peaceful open countryside, magnificent beaches, Holy Island (Lindisfarne), boat trips to the Farne Islands, pretty villages, attractive border towns, and imposing castles to explore. The area is a paradise for walkers too. We are half a mile from the St Cuthbert's Way, which runs the 62 miles (100km) from Melrose to Lindisfarne. We are close to the Pennine Way, and are in the foothills to the Cheviots.
Cuddy's Croft is new for 2007. Set in the trees to the side of Spylaw, it looks north to Hazelrigg, and across to the crags at Bowden Doors.
The cottage is on two levels, and has one bedroom with a double bed (which can be made into twin beds on request), from which you can enjoy the wonderful view shown in the lower photo on the right. The bathroom, with bath and shower, and the kitchen/diner are on the ground floor. The kitchen is very well equipped, including dishwasher, fridge /freezer, washer/dryer, microwave oven and induction hob.

| CUDDY'S CROFT, South Hazelrigg Sleeping up to 2 people
Spylaw is superbly located in the north Northumbrian countryside, between the Kyloe and Cheviot hills. Perfectly situated for exploring the unspoilt beaches of the Heritage Coast, the area is a paradise for outdoor activities with many fabulous walks.
Spylaw is a working farm. Guests can enjoy the farm facilities, including the paddock, field a wide variety of livestock and a play area. Alternatively, relax in the tranquil walled gardens.
Lambing is between April/May with haymaking in August. Homildon House was complimented by the addition of Cuddy’s Croft in 2007. We now provide accommodation for 9 people. Cots/highchairs available on request.

| ORCHARD COTTAGE, Bamburgh, Northumberland Sleeping up to 2 people
Located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and within short walking distance of Budle Bay and the Lindisfarne Nature Reserve, Orchard Cottage is ideal for exploring the miles and miles of unspoilt beaches, which more often than not you have all to yourself. Surrounded by abundant wildlife, the cottage is an ideal base for cycling, walking, bird watching, visiting the many castles, islands and other interesting attractions in the area, or simply for taking it easy.
Orchard Cottage is a cosy, well-equipped cottage set in our little orchard, adjacent to the main house of our tranquil 17-acre, "Country Estate", approximately 2 miles north of Bamburgh on the Northumberland coast. Newly furnished throughout with simple elegance, the theme is light and airy with French doors opening into the conservatory which in turn opens onto the secluded patio, orchard garden and access to the “9-acre wood”. The accommodation comprises fully equipped kitchen, including dishwasher, electric cooker / oven / grill and microwave, living / dining room with TV, video, 2 leather sofas and dining table, and two bedrooms (1 dbl, 1 bunks). Groom's Bothy is a delightful, 1 double bedroom (plus sofa bed), fully furnished mid-terraced holiday cottage situated in the heart of scenic Bellinghams in Northumberland.
<b>The house is a grade II listed building dating from the early 18th century.</b> The Bothy has been renovated to a high standard and retains period features such as beamed ceilings and an open fire in the living room for winter evenings. It is ideal for weekly holidays or romantic weekend breaks.

lead mining archaeology, Alston steam train and
beautiful historic Hexham. World Heritage Sites of
Hadrian’s Wall and Durham are easy to get to. In reach of
Lake District, North Yorkshire and Northumberland National
Parks, or simply enjoy walking from the doorstep in the
lovely valleys and moors of Hexhamshire. Twin bedroom,
ideal for two (can sleep four). The ideal hideaway!

| BOLTS LAW COTTAGE, Blanchland Sleeping up to 4 people
This peaceful hamlet in the Pennines is perfect for an
away-from-it-all holiday amid moors and dales. It is a
haven for wildlife and there are wonderful walks. The
ancient village of Blanchland, (2 miles) with shop, pub,
gallery, playground and tearooms is one of the most
picturesque villages in the region.
The renovated cottage retains the stone floors (with cosy
rugs), pitch-pine doors, and cool stone shelf! The cottage
is comfortable with log stove and CH, Sky TV, Video/DVD
and phone. Bedrooms are pretty and bathroom has over bath
shower. The garden includes furniture, barbecue, bike

| THE NORTH LODGE, Dissington Hall, near Ponteland, Northumberland Sleeping up to 4 people
The North Lodge is a stone built, one bedroom, cottage sitting within it's own walled garden a few minutes walk up a private drive to Dissington Hall. Constructed circa 1870 the Lodge forms part of the original Dissington Estate and is within the listed curtilage of the Hall. The Lodge has recently been refurbished with an emphasis on maintaining the authentic character of the Lodge, concentrating on quality and simplicity. Extensive use is made of natural stone and ceramic tiling with furnishings being of shaker style in hardwoods. The cosy living room is set off with a dressed stone Inglenook fireplace and cast iron log burner.
The Lodge consists of a good-sized living room containing a sofa bed and two armchairs, dining table with chairs, coffee table and sideboard (but no television). There is a spacious bedroom with double bed, dressing table, bedside table and hanging rail. The shower room is equipped with W.C., hand basin and high-pressure power shower. In the kitchen there is a range of fitted kitchen units with beech worktops and Belfast sink, cooker, hob and fridge. For the keen hill walker there is mile upon mile of well marked footpaths traversing some of the most spectacular and unspoiled countryside you are ever likely to find yourself in. For those who prefer their exploring at a faster pace, the cottages are an <b>ideal base for the keen mountain biker.</b> The Cheviot Hills contain some of the most challenging routes in the UK. Nearby forests such as Harwood provide fast and technical fire track trails you will remember for a very long time. <b>We also can supply safe storage for your bikes too.</b>
