A luxury bijou cottage set in the heart of the historic Suffolk market town of Hadleigh, St. Mary’s Cottage is a Grade II listed building that dates back to the mid 1800’s. It was originally built as the annexe to a large Victorian town house. The cottage is set adjacent to Hadleigh’s historic fifteenth-century church, St Mary’s, which has been painted by Suffolk’s two most famous artists, John Constable and Thomas Gainsborough.
The cottage has the feel of a historic building but with all the convenience of modern amenities. The décor and furnishings have been fashioned in the style of one of the exclusive new boutique hotels such as the Hotel du Vin chain or Babington House.

The Cottage at Rowans is a welcoming, well appointed, centrally heated and spacious ground floor barn conversion.
Set amidst the countryside of SW Suffolk it also enjoys extensive views. Bury St Edmunds, Cambridge, Sudbury and Saffron Walden are all about 25 minutes drive, whilst Long Melford and Lavenham are a little further. The owners house is adjacent to the cottage.
An 18 hole golf course lies to the SW of the property, the club house is approximately 800 metres away. Walking, riding and antique hunting are all within easy reach and interesting walks to the Stour Valley on your doorstep. Several local pubs, and the golf course provide evening meals and lunches most days.

200 yards away. We have rented holiday cottages and some
times know the disappointment when it turns out to be less
