This pretty & compact 17th Century labourer’s cottage is tucked away in a quiet road on the edge of the charming un-spoilt Suffolk town of Halesworth. The town offers a colourful selection of shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants based along its pedestrianised Thoroughfare.
Halesworth is the perfect location to explore the Heritage Suffolk coast with the famous coastal town of Southwold just six miles away with its spectacular promenade, sandy beaches and recently rebuilt pier and the home of the Adnams brewery. Local to the area is Aldeburgh, Snape, Walberswick, Dunwich, the Minsmere Bird reserve and access to the Norfolk Broads at Beccles.
The cottage has been lovingly renovated into a comfortable holiday retreat. The sitting room has exposed beams, open brick fireplace with gas effect coal fire, TV and DVD, and a sofa bed that can provide comfortable sleeping accommodation for one person. The bright fully equipped kitchen includes separate fridge and freezer, washing machine, microwave, gas hob and oven; a door leads into the conservatory, with folding dining table and chairs.

Squirrel Cottage is a charming cottage in the centre of a small terrace of three, situated on a private driveway, tucked away near the end of a quiet country lane, with off road parking and easy walking distance from the famous Snape Maltings. The cottage is perfectly situated for exploring the Suffolk heritage coast on foot, cycle or by car with the beautiful seaside towns of Aldeburgh and Southwold only a short distance away. Snape is an area of outstanding natural beauty famous for its forest walks, salt marshes and wide estuaries. A 2 minute walk away from the cottage is several hectares of land which the RSPB purchased in 2008. They are currently in the process of returning the land to its natural state of marsh/wetland. Since this time there has been an increase in Marsh harriers, Bitterns and Barn Owls in the area.
The sitting/dining room is a cosy, comfortably furnished room with a wood-burning stove, Colour TV, DVD, CD/cassette radio and dining table seating up to six. This two storey apartment has been designed as a luxury weekend/holiday retreat to appeal to 1 or 2 discerning couples who like 5 star accommodation; we feel that this property is not suitable for children. The apartment is very light, warm and airy with the sun pouring in through the many huge bay windows throughout the day. All the rooms have wonderful views of the town and beach.
Aldeburgh is famous for its culture – with art galleries, poetry and literary weekends and its music festival held in June each year. It is also close to a number of nature reserves and bird sanctuaries for wonderful walks. The town of Aldeburgh itself remains unspoilt and appeals to those who enjoy healthy, outdoor pursuits such as sailing, golf and tennis as well as browsing in our antique shops and eating in the many fine restaurants and cafes.

Aldeburgh is a lovely seaside town with a shingle beach on the Suffolk Heritage Coast. It has an excellent selection of shops, restaurants and pubs, cinema, model boat pond, lifeboat station and golf course. Numerous places of interest to visit nearby include Snape Maltings, Minsmere bird sanctuary, castles at Orford and Framlingham and sandy beaches at Walberswick and Southwold.
Crossing Cottage is detached, built about 100 years ago in Aldeburgh on the now disused Aldeburgh - Leiston railway line. It lies at the end of a quiet lane where three footpaths meet leading to the beach, the town and Thorpness (1.5 miles).
Crossing Cottage has a lounge, conservatory, kitchen, utility area, rear lobby, one double bedroom and two single bedrooms (one with pull-out mattress (+1)) and a bathroom with bath and separate shower cubicle. Pear Tree Cottage stands next to the impressive Holy Trinity Church of Blythburgh, just two minutes walk away from the local shop and post office, as well as the welcoming local pub. On the doorstep are pretty walks along the Blyth River, and for keen walkers, there are many official footpaths stretching along the coast. The beautiful Heritage Coast is six minutes drive away, either to Southwold or Walberswick, and Aldeburgh is just 25 minutes away. Blythburgh Church is often used as a venue for the world-famous Aldeburgh Festival, and Pear Tree Cottage would be a marvellous place to stay whilst enjoying the Literary Festivals organised in the area over the Spring/Autumn.
The cosy 17th Century cottage has been recently renovated and modernised to a high standard, with three bedrooms (two double, one single) to accommodate up to five people. Hacheston is a pretty rural village between Woodbridge and Framlingham, well located for exploring Suffolk’s beautiful countryside and coastline. It has a village store, garden nursery with a very good farm shop and an eleventh century village church. Wickham Market, with its more extensive shops, restaurants and pubs is only two minutes drive away. On the coast, Orford, Snape, with the famous Snape Maltings concert hall, Aldeburgh, Thorpeness and Dunwich are within easy reach. Minsmere’s nature reserve, Walberswick and Southwold are also readily accessible.
Lodge Cottage is a charming, thatched, weatherboarded colonial style building, situated in the grounds of Hacheston Lodge. It offers comfortable accommodation for 5/6 people, with bedrooms at ground and basement level, with the living space above. Toad Hall is a spacious Grade II listed timber framed house, complete with Inglenook fireplace and a wealth of exposed timbers in its interior. Set in two acres of garden in the beautiful Suffolk countryside, it is within two hours drive from London, near the Heritage Coast and the ancient town of Woodbridge on the River Deben with its restaurants, pubs and antique shops. Horse riding is just along the lane and golf, fishing, sailing etc. are a short drive away.
The house has two sitting rooms, one with TV, video, sound system and log burning stove, a games room, and a large well-equipped farmhouse style kitchen with double oven, microwave, dishwasher and walk in larder with freezer; a utility room houses a washing machine, drier and a large overflow fridge. There are six bedrooms (2 double, 2 twin and 2 singles) and two bathrooms, one of which is en-suite, with walk-in shower; there is also a downstairs WC and entrance boot room. This beautiful, spacious Georgian house is perfect for holidays / weekends with friends and family. It is situated in the centre of Aldeburgh, on the heritage coastline of Suffolk. The house is surrounded by its own private walled gardens but is only a short walk from the shops (100m), beach (50m), excellent restaurants, tennis courts, yacht and golf clubs. Garden chairs, table, sunbeds and barbecue are provided.
This comfortable house consists of an elegant (24' x 19') south-facing drawing room with an open fireplace, study / TV room with open fire, DVD and video, large dining room and large well-equipped fully fitted kitchen including dishwasher and breakfast table. On the first floor, there are three very large south-facing bedrooms plus a smaller double. The master bedroom has a King-size bed and en-suite bathroom. There are three further double rooms one with a Super King-size bed, one with a King size bed and one with full size twin beds: these bedrooms share two further bathrooms.
