The Massif des Maures that lead to Hyères, is overgrown with pine trees, cork oaks and chestnut trees.
The area is visited often and offers beautiful hikes. The coastline along the foot of the massief stretches from St Aygulf to St Tropez and is an enumeration of renowned spas (Port Grimaud, Ste Maxime) but also of \'calanques\' (deep creeks with fickle bays), creeks and peaceful beaches, close to the Issambres.
Between St Raphaël and La Napoule, lies lEstérel, with a natural decor of huge beauty. The contrast between the seething, fashionable coast life and the desertion of the inner roads where deep ravines and fickle rock combs alternate is fascinating.
The \'Corniche (=road along the abyss) the lEstérel, which follows the coastline, is worth a detour: little bays, shady \"private\"-beaches, narrow sand banks and creeks invites you to take a dive.
For reasons of tranquillity, this holiday home will not be rented to groups of youngsters.
