Sometimes known as 'the secret village in the Cotswolds', Blockley is a large village with the golden glow of local Ashlar stone, nestling in a fold of the Cotswold Hills mid-way between the market town of Moreton-in-Marsh and Chipping Campden, a typical town of the affluent wool merchants of the 14th and 15th Centuries. In the heart of the Cotswolds, it is conveniently situated for Oxford, Cheltenham and Stratford-upon-Avon, and possesses a medieval parish church, a general stores/post office, two excellent village inns and a delightful coffee shop/delicatessan.



Broadclose, previously the village dairy, was converted in the early 1930's from a range of farm buildings, part of which now forms Broadclose Cottage. Well furnished & comfortable, the cottage is south facing and set in a delightfully quiet garden close to the village centre with views to the church and hills beyond. Fully gas centrally heated, the accommodation comprises, on the ground floor, large flagstone entrance hall, inner hall, well equipped kitchen / dining room including washer/drier, dishwasher etc, cloakroom, and cosy sitting room with a very effective gas 'open' fire. Upstairs, there are two good sized bedrooms - 1 double, 1 twin - and a luxurious family bathroom with large shower and separate corner bath. Man's Best Friend Welcome (owners have young Chesapeake Bay Retriever next door) - but sorry, we do not accept smokers, or children under 12. Short Breaks welcome.
