The Old Farmhouse & Mews Cottages is a family run selection of self catering properties within a pretty mews setting, situated in the centre of Braithwaite's beautiful village, which has repeatedly won the “Best Kept Village” award, and is just 2 miles from Keswick. Just opposite is the village shop where you can buy most of your requirements. Close by, two local pubs offer substantial bar meals and a selection of real ales, ideal for ending a perfect day. The main farmhouse dates from 1700, sleeps 6/8 people in 3 bedrooms, and is the picture perfect 'Lakeland farmhouse'. Next door, the Annex sleeps 2/4 people and again has plenty of character. (The properties can be used as one to sleep a group up to 8/12 people). Both have been recently renovated to the highest standard. There are six cottages surrounding the courtyard, each one is different yet all have an individual character. The properties vary in size sleeping from 2 - 6 people. The two apartments, at the rear of the Mews, are modern and fully equipped and sleep 2/4 people. |
