Highbridge Cottage and adjacent High Bridge, in Braithwaite, near Keswick, are quiet and well-appointed 4 Star cottages in the northern Lakes, with many beautiful walks right from their doorsteps. Braithwaite is the gateway to the north-western fells, and walkers can forget their cars for the whole week! The village has three pub/restaurants, two shops, and some very friendly people.



Highbridge Cottage sleeps 4 people, or 5 with use of the collapsible bed. It comprises living room, large dining room / kitchen, one double bedroom with King size bed and additional Z-bed, one twin bedroom, bathroom with shower over bath, handbasin, W.C. and a drying cupboard.



High Bridge, with marvellous views of the Northern Fells across the village rooftops, sleeps 6 people. It comprises a large living room with great views, dining room with French windows leading to secure yard, fully equipped kitchen, shower room, and three bedrooms - 1 King size double and 2 Twins, one of which has bunk beds. The large bathroom has bath, separate shower, wc and basin, and there is also a separate cloakroom with wc and basin.



Both cottages have gas central heating, and are fully equipped with modern comforts such as dishwasher, microwave, electric oven and hob, washing machine, fridge / freezer, colour TV with BBC/ITV Freesat, DVD recorder, and a separate CD player and radio. Highbridge Cottage also has an open fire - just right for those looking for a relaxing evening after a hard day's walk! Off-road parking is available alongside both cottages. Cots and high chairs are provided. Dogs are most welcome, and usually have a great time in Braithwaite and the surrounding fells. The cottages are non-smoking areas.
