| SWALLOWS' NEST, Hebden Sleeping up to 5 people
Swallows’ Nest is a surprisingly spacious extended 19th century former lead miners cottage, situated at the end of a terrace of such cottages, enjoying a very peaceful setting on the edge of the village. The cottage has been extensively renovated and refurbished to a high standard, and retains much of it’s original character, with fully beamed ceilings downstairs, exposed stonework, an inglenook-style fireplace in the lounge and double glazing throughout. There are solid oak floors downstairs and some low doorways, making this an interesting property, which has been pleasantly decorated and well equipped.
Hebden is conveniently situated just 2 miles from Grassington, with shops and eating-places. Skipton, offering numerous attractions and large supermarkets, is 10 miles away.
There are many beautiful walks in all directions from Swallows’ Nest without having to take the car: riverside walks from Burnsall or to Grassington, or following Hebden beck up the hills, which are littered with remnants of the 19th century lead mining industry.

Surrounded by open countryside which overlooks the Vale of Pickering and Newtondale, and adjacent to Cropton Forest, our delightful village stands in the North Yorks Moors National Park. It is ideally situated for access to many stunning walks, bridleways, and cycle routes to be found in the area.<p>
A 'must' for visitors of all ages, the North York Moors Steam Railway runs from Pickering past Levisham and on through 'Heartbeat' country to Grosmont. Other places of interest include the fishing port of Whitby (20 miles) and Scarborough (20 miles) which offers beaches, family entertainment and shopping.<P>

2 South View is in Burtersett, a picturesque, quiet village in the beautiful countryside of Upper Wensleydale, one and a half miles from Hawes. Burtersett is on a hillside beneath the summit of Yorburgh and the north and of Wether Fell. It is an ideal location for walking, moutain biking, activity holiday as many walks and rides can be undertaken direct from the cottage. Daily and weekly fishing tickets are available from local shops for fishing in the River Ure and in Semerwater - both are less than 2 miles away. The area is ideal for those who just wish to relax in idyllic scenery.
Less than 2 miles away is Hawes, a small market town, which has pubs, restaurants, shops, banks and an excellent fish and chip shop.
