Tucked away just out of the centre of the small village of Langthwaite, which was used in the filming of All Creatures Great and Small, this charming cottage is ideally located for the fell walker, with an abundance of walks from the cottage itself, as well as a pub within 100 metres. It is also a very good base for the tourist, with easy access to the Dales, Lake District and even Whitby on the East Coast.
The cottage has been fully modernised and yet retains a great deal of its character, with flagstone floors, feature Inglenook fireplace and beamed ceiling in the lounge. There is a well equipped kitchen, two good sized bedrooms (one double, one twin) and a family bathroom. This holiday cottage has been very comfortably furnished throughout, and provides excellent holiday accommodation in a quiet and relaxing position, with a pleasant outlook from some rooms to the surrounding hills and fells. These award winning self catering holiday cottages are ideally situated with easy access to the North Yorkshire Moors, Scarborough and Whitby on The Heritage Coast and The Vale of York. The North Yorkshire area abounds in historic sites and places of interest with lots to do and wide open spaces between. The farm originally formed part of the Wydale Hall Estate, and local walks provide panoramic views of the Vale of Pickering.
The cottages are grouped around a sunny courtyard and have been carefully converted to provide spacious accommodation in a quiet rural setting. All are fully equipped (including colour TVs, video recorders and microwaves) and furnished to a high standard. Total electric heating keeps the cottages warm all year round, with feature effect fires to the lounges and open fires in the Farmhouse Cottages if required. All cottages have one double and one twin bedroom, with bedding and towels provided. A laundry room is available for guests and there is ample parking next to the cottages. Well behaved dogs are welcome, but strictly limited to two per cottage.

This luxury self catering holiday cottage is tucked away, by the side of Tems Beck, in the picturesque village of Giggleswick, in the heart of The Yorkshire Dales. Giggleswick provides an excellent base for exploring the Dales, whether by foot, cycling or by car. Local pubs serving good food and a small shop/cafe are all in the village. The market town of Settle is a short, 10 minute, walk with a Tuesday market and plenty of restaurants, shops etc.
The cottage has been decorated to an extremely high standard in a comfortable, contemporary style. Warm colours, designer furniture, tactile soft furnishings and unique artwork have been chosen for comfort and luxury. The sitting room and kitchen diner are equipped with plasma t.v's and state of the art surround-sound (bring your iPod). Fully fitted and fabulously equipped kitchen with all mod cons and warmed by underfloor heating. This cottage comfortably sleeps 4 with one kingsize bedroom with en-suite, and two further single rooms with family bathroom. Nestled between the Yorkshire Wolds, the Vale of York and the Howardian Hills, Woodhouse Farm has a beautiful, peaceful countryside location with stunning views of the surrounding area. Next door is Howsham Wood, which is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), and part of the Howardian Hills AONB. The wood is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna including bluebells and primroses in the spring, and a growing community of deer. Our central location means we are an ideal base for exploring North Yorkshire, close to York (only 20 minutes drive away), and many other attractions including Castle Howard, Flamingoland, and the North Yorkshire Moors.
Apple Tree Cottage has been sympathetically converted and restored to a very high standard; all the stone, bricks, roof tiles and exposed beams and trusses used came from the original building itself to preserve the character of the cottage. The living area is open plan to the ceiling showing the original roof trusses and beams. The cottage sits on the edge of open fields at the very edge the pretty market town of Pickering, gateway to the North Yorkshire Moors, for fantastic walking and cycling, and the beginning of the North Yorkshire steam railway. The area is full of fun things to enjoy and places to go. Scarborough , Whitby and the delightful Robin Hood’s Bay, on the east coast are about twenty miles away. The beautiful city of York , for a spot of culture and a helping of history is just thirty miles away.
Vivers Mill Cottage is a stone, Grade II listed building right on the edge of town, full of beams, nooks, fireplaces, antique furniture, romantic charm and intriguing collections. It is part of the historic Vivers Mill conservation area, and has two bedrooms to sleep up to seven people. With its own garden, it is also fully equipped, and includes open fire and dishwasher. Children welcome, but sorry, no smokers or pets.
